So after a lot of sitting around and thinking about where the best places are to hang in Vancouver… we settled on the flea market.
Seemed like a good plan.
Where else is there?
Off we set on the sky train and end up at what I initially thought was an early Walmart…
However, once you get over your initial reservations you actually discover a warehouse full of some pretty interesting stuff! Childhood toys that I thought had been forgotten about, electrical appliances that shouldn’t really work anymore… but do? And some pretty impressive tools!
The novelty of this place soon wore off and we were on the move…
Next stop… The Park where we came across a bit of wildlife…
Geese to start. A large herd. That were peacefully making their way across the park to do whatever it is that geese do at the other end of the park.
Wasn’t long though until the poor unfortunate geese were spotted by a hunter and chased. You may have thought this hunter was some sort of out of control dog… Having escaped its lead and making its way over to growl at some peaceful geese.
But oh no…
This hunter was human…
And try as she might to catch them, and she did try… with pieces of foliage and clucking sounds, the geese were just too quick…
We did see some cute racoons though that were kept at a safe distance…
After which, it was a quick jaunt around the beach and walk back to the ship where we discovered that the cash machines in this place are made out of ice-cream??
