This was the first port I actually decided to venture out in. By this point I’d spent several days on the ship in the air conditioning. So I can’t begin to tell you the excitement I had at the prospect of going outside for a nice long jog on a pretty island.
Well… The week I spent in the air-conditioning clearly had my brain in a fuzz about the differing temperatures in various parts of the world and how anything above about 25 degrees sends my body into a spin.
The tender ride over to shore should have given me a clue. I was pretty much a sweaty mess by the time I reached shore. However, surely I’d create a bit of a draft as I run wouldn’t I?
Nope.
So I managed about 10 minutes before I decided I was a complete nutcase for even thinking about it and decided a casual walk to the nearest resort would be enough.
It was worth it!
The places you find out here are pretty amazing. Out of the budget to even stay there one night… But just the perfect location and views.
Of course. They’re all quite protective of their resorts. It didn’t take security too long to clock me and despite attempts at sneaking behind these huts I was eventually found and escorted off the premises!
I had my photos thanks!
So a pretty slow walk back to the ship with a pic of the other side of the island from the same path…
I eventually found myself back at the tender boat and watched some pretty successful fishing taking place nearby. I don’t think anyone was waiting for more than a minute to get a bite. Don’t listen to that bucket. You have to give up. You can not eat that many fish!
That certainly wasn’t the end of the locals just because we were on the tender boat heading back. We found them riding the tender boat waves to and from the ship. Couple of paddles then they’d give us a wave! I was super jealous at this point…!
That place looks absolutely amazing bro!
Absolutely fabulous. take me there and leave me.
