So what do we do at night on a cruise ship? We go to the top deck and watch shooting stars of course! Now granted, you could argue that trying to take a picture of a shooting star is a little ambitious at best. In fact the responses to me walking upstairs with a camera are unrepeatable in this blog. However, surely you earn points for trying? Don’t you?…
I could try and declare this shows either the start or end of a shooting star and that I’m pretty darn quick with that shutter button. But for those of you who are a little more astute you’ll soon realise that this is in fact just a star. I say just… But clearly stars are pretty awesome amazing fabulous and very hot objects. So maybe ignore the word just. Further to this shooting stars aren’t actually stars but in fact meteors burning up in the earths atmosphere. Either way it’s all pretty amazing stuff.
So since I couldn’t grab a picture of the things you’ll have to make do with a description…
One very fast (fraction of a second fast) flash of light shooting across all sorts of random areas of the sky. Only giving you milliseconds to focus on the things! The reaction of the crew is much easier to photograph… They’re so much slower than a shooting star…
